Susie returned to her hometown four years ago with a desire to change her profession and become reacquainted with her community. After more than six years in the finance world, Susie yearned to focus on her passions – design, entertaining, music and helping others. All these things, along with an expert knowledge of budgeting, intertwine in event planning.
Growing up in Huntsville, Susie dreamed of hosting and planning the elegant parties her parents attended. Often staying up late to hear all the details, from flower arrangements to hors d’oeuvres served, from her mama when she returned home. Susie has been an etiquette buff since receiving her first copy of Amy Vanderbilt’s Complete Book of Etiquette at age 14 from the Victorian Cotillion committee.
Upon graduation from the University of Alabama with a degree in Finance, she moved to Birmingham, Alabama . Susie worked in investments for two years before embarking on a five year adventure including working throughout Europe and international travel. Her two year stay in Vienna, Austria expanded her appreciation of music among other things. She then moved on to Monaco, studying French and traveling extensively throughout France and Italy with frequent stays in London. She now offers you an unique mixture of European style and Southern hospitality.
From grumbly in-laws to last minute requests, Susie will advise, direct, keep track of finances and be your private confidante in creating the event of your dreams.
